Purchases

I bought coins or NO ADS, but nothing arrived

A purchase arrives as soon as Google Play confirms it. If it hasn't, check that you're online and restart the game: it looks for unfinished purchases when it starts and when you come back to it. A payment that is still pending (for example cash or a bank transfer) arrives once Google confirms it. Still missing after a day? Mail us with the order number.

How do I get NO ADS back on a new phone?

Use the same Google account in the Play Store, then open Settings → Restore purchases. NO ADS comes back. Coins, skins and levels are saved on the phone itself, so they don't move to a new phone.

I have a gift code

Open Settings → Redeem code. It opens the Play Store's redeem screen; after you redeem the code, come back to the game and the gift arrives with a popup.

Why do I see ads?

Flappy Spikes is free, and ads pay for it: a banner during runs and a video ad after some runs. New players see no video ad until they have played 5 runs or 5 minutes. Rewarded ads only play when you choose them, for example for free coins in the Shop or a revive.

How do I remove the ads?

Buy NO ADS in the Shop. It removes the banner, the ads after runs and the NO ADS offer. Rewarded ads stay available if you want the coins, and NO ADS owners get the first revive of a run for free.

How do I change my ad consent?

In the EU, the UK and a few other regions the game asks for your consent before showing ads. To change your choice, open Settings → Privacy options (the row only shows where consent is required).

Google Play Games and the leaderboard

How do I sign in and see the leaderboard?

If you use Google Play Games, the game signs you in by itself. To sign in by hand or to open the leaderboard, tap the trophy next to the gear on the Home screen, or the leaderboard button on the results page. The Top Scores leaderboard shows your best score. Signing in is optional; the game works the same without it.

Versus

How does Versus work?

In Versus you race a real player's recorded run: their score climbs in the bar at the top of your screen while you fly, and the higher final score wins. A win pays 10 coins, a draw 5. Prefer to fly alone? Switch the mode button above START to FREE FLY. More on the Versus page.

Can I change my name in Versus?

Your name is your Google Play Games name when you are signed in, with your Play Games picture. Otherwise the game gives you a nickname like SwiftKiwi482. There is no free text, so you can't type a name of your own; to use a different name, change it in Google Play Games.

Deleting your data

Open Settings → Delete my data, or see the delete your data page for what is deleted and how to do it without the app.

Sound and music

No sound or no music?

Open Settings: the SOUND and MUSIC tiles switch the effects and the music on or off, and the MUSIC VOLUME bars set how loud the music plays. The game also follows your phone's media volume, so turn that up too.
